News broke last week of changes to Highland Springs and Manchester's schedules and this week there is news developing in regards to Varina's schedule.
Varina will be dropping Armstrong, a Class 3 team who they have played regularly since 1988. They will also be dropping Lee-Davis who they have played every season since 1958 except for the years of 1966-1969 and 1980-1985.
In place of those two programs the Blue Devils will play Lake Taylor who they have never met and Manchester who they last played in 1985!
The shuffling and beefing of schedules continue as teams in Region 5B scramble for power points where they can to insure themselves of a playoff spot one, that they are battle tested and a high seed come playoff time.
