Y’all talk like Phoebus runs some complex, complicated scheme. The Varina kids been playing athletes like Phoebus has since youth league. Probably played a lot of Phoebus’s kids growing up with Glen Lea. All those scores from the regular season doesn’t matter. Y’all gone have to line it up and beat Varina.
I read these posts and laugh on how many people don’t watch these games/know these teams but speak like they Kenny Smith on Inside the NBA Halftime Show 🤣
I find it funny that some people think that Varina doesn't have a chance in this game. This will be the first game all season where Phoebus will face an opponent that can match their athleticism or best it. Yes I know they played Highland Springs and Warwick but I also know that Varina is more athletic than both of those teams this year. That's not me speaking as a fan. That's speaking from 18 years as a high school coach in Virginia.

LOL Idk about all that. But I know all of Lynchburg is probably rooting for Varina after Phoebus beat two Lynchburg teams (LCA & Heritage) in back to back championship games in 2021 and 2022. 🤣
Well what should the Varina side do then? Just shut up and be happy to be here? You Phoebus folks have a hard time seeing any other team past your own 2 feet. I'm not gonna say Varina was seriously doubted this year because were a consensus top Top 5 C4 pick.
Also what are you even talking about. Phoebus has been the clear cut favorite all year, but anytime someone says Phoebus ain't some unstoppable juggernaut you all lose your minds. And yes statistically Phoebus played a patty cake schedule compared to Varina but we know that will mean nothing come Saturday. Line it up.
I was reading earlier that people thought this would boil down to a Phoebus vs Huguenot title game.... Varina met the UNDEFEATED Falcons a couple of weeks ago and handed them a 26-0 thumping! Then beat a strong Dinwiddie team 41-27 to win the Region Title. Last week, people were picking Tusky over Varina. Again Varina delivered an undeniable 28-0 drubbing! I think the Blue Devils are licking their chops and sharpening their Devil Horns to show these Phantoms that they are NOT invincible! Good luck to both teams, it's going to be a good one for sure!
Man we will see yall tomorrow in Lynchburg. The narrative that Phoebus fans get mad if anybody says we aren’t invincible is hilarious. We just simply defend our boys like anybody else defenders their boys. I get it tho….safe travels to everyone going to Lynchburg. Let’s have a clean game with no injuries.
This is fun stuff! Of course I spend most of the time badmouthing Varina and wishing them bad luck, but they are our brothers, cousins and otherwise family! I am a diehard Springer, but these 2 clash every year that's usually the end of season duel that produces a State Champion caliber playoff team EVERY year! My Springers were a bit down this year but the Devils have emerged as a strong contender! Highland Springs HS and Varina HS are less than 10 miles apart and they all grew up together here in Eastern Henrico County, played rec ball together and most went to the same middle school together.
All of Eastern Henrico (and the rest of Henrico County) are rooting for Varina to bring home the bacon and hoist the trophy!!!.... and look out for basketball too. Varina is probably the top Class 4 Hoops team too! Defending 2 time back to back state basketball titles, they could make it 3 in a row this year!
As much as the two sides talk trash, we’re all one when the other is playing in the big game. So much love that when Varina and HS won it in basketball a few years ago, they had a joint parade. That’s how we get down on the East End!
Varina’s basketball team beat the state C6 runner up (Patriot) last night 79-49 🫨 Mind you Kaleb Wyche is the starting PG, DaMari D1 Carter is the starting forward, and TeeJay Cheatham, Jaiden Walker, and Bray Hood are reserves that play a lot. They beat Patriot with 7 players (5 that actually play). Varina’s basketball team is loaded.
I say it all the time, the East End is loaded. Between HS and Varina, the area is truly one of the best concentrations of athletes on the East Coast. Look at the stats!!
Actual footage of me being mad that I have to miss both games at LU this weekend. Even more pissed at the reason that I have to miss. The wife's family decided to have an ugly sweater party tomorrow, of all the days to have a party! 
My sisters did the same Vol scheduled scheduled an ugly sweater dinner for Sat about the time Varina-Phoebus get started i told them i was going to LU to the games and they needed to change time/day for that. Phoebus is a great program. Everyone knows that Bo. Varina is a good program seeking a championship. You mention Varina playing athletes like Phoebus has. I hear you. My question is what happen last year against King George Athletes? Now what did Phoebus do to the same team? I'm just speaking facts. But I like Varina. I think they are a year away. Everyone keep saying Phoebus ain't played Noone right? Ok you guys should dominate then right? What's your prediction? I got Phoebus 27 - Varina 16. But anything could happen. That’s the QB from 2010 Dinwiddie team that lost to Phoebus in state semis after being up 13-0 late in game. I’m sure his beef is lifelong with us and i get it
2008 it was 13-6 at half an they came out and took the entire 3rd to score then we went 3 & out an they scored in less than 2 minutes to open the game up…. (08 is the greatest High School team I’ve ever seen!)

Being unbiased, Phoebus has a better defense than Dinwiddie this year a will undoubtably be the best defense has seen all year. I think Varina will make plays but the thing about Phoebus in these situations (state games) you have to consistently make plays and keep the crowd out of the game. Once that chant starts going momentum usually shifts really really fast. Varina has to play mistake free, if it’s close in the 4th im almost 100% certain Phoebus wins
People saying Phoebus ain't played nobody. Yet this team has over 30 seniors that has won 3 chips in a row. Noone is invincible and Varina will face an experienced team that knows how to win big games. Varina has done a great job this year and in the playoffs. Let's see what happens...
