Can someone post an updated 4A standings playoff situation?

The 2A board has theirs posted.
What games are tonight? There are games tonight, and possibly tomorrow night. It could possibly be Wed before the ratings are released.
Hopewell at Dinwiddie for sure. Not sure who else. What games are tonight?

they wait until all games are in because of bonus points.I understand why they haven't put them out yet, but they could have. Just update after these games. It appears they update the Master schedule often
Salem and Pulaski Co will be tied if they both win this week.

Only four rounds this yr for playoffs. Winner between Region A and Region B host title gameSo is it the top 4 in each Region that make the playoffs?
The fewer games you play hurts your ability to make the playoffs unless teams lose. Your points + bonus points are divided by the games you play. Teams that keep winning will pick up bonus points as long as the defeated team wins games. These teams avg will rise each. The Region would be the ones to decide a minimum game played to make the playoffs. Each region can be differentWhat I don’t fully understand is how teams with far fewer than the scheduled 6 will be treated. I can see 5 or even 4 games played at the end but what if it’s 1 or 2. Smithfield makes the playoff cut right now but has only played 1 game! And it’s not even against the same class team. Shouldn’t there be a minimum to qualify , like 4?

So Menchville and Smithfield are tied because the both beat Div 4 teams and none of the teams they beat have won a game. So smithfield beat York. 20 div 3. +2 for div difference and +2 because York has a win. Giving Smithfield 24. What's hurt Menchfield is their opponents have not won a game yet.Not necessarily though, I don't know the situation with Smithfield, but doing the points for 2a, in Region A Nottoway has played 1 game and are currently 1st, over KW who has played 3 games. Both undefeated.
In most cases your premise is correct, and when there are many teams undefeated in a Region it makes a difference (i.e. 4B), but 1 loss drops rating far more this year than others
This is because their opponents are not winning. If you play Div 4 teams and go 10-0 or 1-0 and none of your opponents win a game your avg will be 24.Not necessarily though, I don't know the situation with Smithfield, but doing the points for 2a, in Region A Nottoway has played 1 game and are currently 1st, over KW who has played 3 games. What's happened in this situation as of now is both teams top scores are 16 with 6 bonus points. Then KW has 2 games with a score of 16 and 2 bonus points because the opponents have only 1 win. The lower scores put KW behindThis is because their opponents are not winning. If you play Div 4 teams and go 10-0 or 1-0 and none of your opponents win a game your avg will be 24.
The only way it helps is if your 1 win was against a good opponent that is winning. If it's against a bad opponent it will hurt.Ha. I think you missed my point. I wasn't referring to a specific situation or need points explained. I have been doing them for YEARS on here for 2a. Just pointing out that just using a blanket statement that less games WILL hurt can be wrong. If Both have the same number of losses then most likely it will hurt the team with less games, but if for some reason Nottoway played only 1 more game and KW 2 (they missed last game), KW could have played double the games, have 0 losses, and be outpointed.

Im just giving examples. Yes if your opponents are no good when you play more games your avg will be lowerthan if you played one game and beat a good opponent.Ok man, you are going to keep trying to explain numbers to me that I already know obviously, so I am out. Have a good one
My example actually helped your statement.Ok man, you are going to keep trying to explain numbers to me that I already know obviously, so I am out. Have a good one

If you already know. Don't put for some reason in you reply. It made it seam as if you didn't know. My apologies if I misunderstoodIf you think I don't know that then you are sorely mistaken. Again, have a good one
I was surprised when the brackets came out and Cox was 1. Basketball doesn't use a point system. I can only guess that the region did a coin flipIn Basketball, Cox only played 1 game. They were the Top seed in the Class 5 Reg B playoffs. But I believe BB had a bigger bracket.
