Thought the rest of Virginia might would like an update on how the CMC standings are shaping up with two weeks to go in the regular season. Boys is more or less dependent on the Gate City/Union rematch and the girls is still a three horse race. Below are the current standings and scenarios to play out:

1. Gate City 8 points, 4 possible points remaining
1. Union 8 points, 3 possible points remaining
3. John Battle 5 points, 4 possible points remaining
4. Lebanon 3 points, 4 possible points remaining
5. Wise Central 2 points, 5 possible points remaining
6. Ridgeview 1 point, 4 possible points remaining
7. Lee High 0 points, 6 possible points remaining
All but Gate City, Union and John Battle are mathematically eliminated from regular season title contention.
Key games to play:
Union @ John Battle 2/3 (hopefully the Bears will not be looking ahead to....)
Gate City @ Union 2/7 (If the Bears get past the Trojans, Union can force a tie and one game playoff for the regular season title)
