Coach Jim Woodson made the Sweet 16 by taking 100% of the vote against Coach John Ianucci and then repeating that against Coach Gabe Hicks.
Jim Woodson needs no introduction. One of the greats of the region he took over the Powhatan program in 1985 and in 34 seasons posted 27 winning seasons, 24 playoff appearances and won 2 state titles with the 1996 Class 2 and 2003 Class 4 titles. 2018 concluded his phenomenal run with a record of 281-106-1.
Coach Richard McFee made the Sweet 16 but besting Coach Jim Henderson with 66% of the vote and then 100% of the vote against Coach Ted Salmon.
Without question Richard McFee is the greatest Huguenot coach ever. The Falcons were led by McFee from 1988-2007 posting 15 winning seasons and 13 playoff appearances over that 20 year span. McFee had a 9-13 playoff record but don't let that fool you as the Falcons in the late 80's and 90's were a region and state contender year in and year out. McFee had to leave the game in 2007 prematurely due to health reasons but not before compiling a 144-73 mark.
