Collegiate spotted St Christopher's a touchdown then kept the Saints off the scoreboard to pull out a 21-7 win in the VISAA DI playoff game. The Cougars intercepted as many passes (six) as St Christopher's had completions (six) to advance to the State title game. The defending State champs will go for back-to-back titles when they travel to play undefeated Flint Hill next Saturday in a rematch of a regular season game.

The Cougars lost the first meeting to Flint Hill just like they lost in overtime last week against St Christophers after turning the ball over four times. This time, the Collegiate won the turnover battle while holding St Christopher's to only 39 yards passing. Meanwhile, Cougars quarterback T Brewer had three of his eight completions go for touchdowns. He found Ayinde Budd for an 11 yard touchdown to tie the game at 7-7 before the halftime break. In the 3rd quarter, Brewer capped a 9-play, 50-yard scoring drive with a 6-yard pass to Budd to break the tie. Brewer found Trey Boll to start the 4th quarter and extend the Cougars lead to 21-7.

Joseph White helped to control the clock carrying the ball 30 times for 182 yards rushing. T Brewer was 8 for 22 passing for 74 yards and three touchdowns. Senior Travis Reifsnider had three interceptions and one pass breakup. Evan Clark was credited with 11 tackles while Charles Armstrong had two tackles for loss and eight tackles.

Jems Ames broke free for a 48-ytard touchdown run to give the Saints a 7-0 lead with 9:50 left in the 2nd quarter. The Washington & Lee commit finished with 120 yards rushing on 20 carries.
