17-14 at halftime and Colonial Forge broke it open with three touchdowns in the third quarter. They had let Manchester off the hook in a first quarter that was played almost entirely in the Manchester side of the field, missing a field goal and throwing an interception in the end zone.

Odd sequence in the second quarter--Forge had the ball at the Manchester 1, snapped the ball just as the play clock expired and the QB sneaked it but they threw a late flag and called delay of game. Next play Manchester DB intercepted a pass on the goal line and returned it 100 yards for a touchdown, but was called for defensive holding. Colonial Forge finally scored for real on the play after that.

Forge reminded me of Westfield. No five-star recruits (though Sarratt is certainly a playmaker) but they put a lot of good players on the field. Manchester had some big plays, but didn't really have sustained drives.
