The VHSL state cross country championships for Classes 1, 2, and 3 were held on Saturday, November 16, at Green Hill Park in Salem. In the Class 1 boys race, Parry McCluer won the team title; Auburn was runner-up, with George Wythe taking third. Dylan May of Parry McCluer won the individual title.
The Class 1 girls race was won by George Wythe. Galileo Magnet School and Auburn rounded out the top three. Kensey May (sister to Dylan) of Parry McCluer finished nearly a minute ahead of the second-place runner to claim the individual crown.
