The Wildcats won their final road contest of the regular season as Dan River defeated William Campbell 5-4 in 8 innings.

Bennett McCann was the winning pitcher for the Wildcats (12-3), after taking over for Noah Collins in relief. And McCann helped his own cause by delivering a two-out RBI in the top of the eighth [scored Justin Moser].
Kenny Powell also had a big hit for Dan River, plating two on a double in the fourth.
For William Campbell, Devin Anthony had three hits, including a double, and two RBIs.
Dan River plays again Friday at 5:30 p.m. when it hosts Appomattox.
