Former Duke player Andre Dawkins named new Charlottesville Boys Basketball Coach

Dawkins played at Atlantic Shores and a three-time all state pick before playing at Duke. He also played in the G-Leauge and overseas before coaching at a high school in Oklahoma City. I'm pretty sure his wife got a job at UVA.

Home run hire for CHS to replace a coach that had been there for over 30 years.

Great hire. Charlottesville gonna run it back next year and will be up there with Varina, Hampton and Tusky.

They will have a rebuilding year. Have to replace a lot of talent. That being said, think there will be some "transfers" that suddenly live in the city limits.

I am sure Dawkins will have that program to state contention in no time. Such an awesome hire.
