Nice article on the main page about Claiborne's visit to UVA. He's set to visit Vanderbilt, but as of now, he's narrowed it down to UVA and Wake Forest. He will announce his decision on July 19th.

Just picked up his 14th Division 1 offer. This one from Virginia Tech. So far he has visited Wake Forest, UVA and Vanderbilt, with more visits to come

Claiborne won the 2A state championship today in the 100 meters, with a time of 10.67. Teammate Ronaldinio Stickley finished 3rd at 10.94. Stickley also won a state title himself in the 200 meters.

I got to talk with Stickley as we made the trip up to the entrance from Sentara Park. Good young man and he was telling me how he worked with Claiborne to get better. I also congratulated Claiborne on his 100 win and he was very cordial and humble. Whoever gets him is going to get a great person!

Both of them are great young men.

Nice to see a small school guy get some love. When you have speed like that, they will find you.

Also goes to show that you don't have to transfer to these bigger high schools to get noticed. He could have easily went to a bigger school and they were after him, but he stayed true to his roots and decided that he wanted to stay in KW with his friends and try to win a state championship. Whatever college he decides on is getting a great talent

So proud of this kid. His father and I has been best friends since kindergarten. I talked to him last week hopefully he go to UVA.

Demond will announce his college choice, tomorrow at 2pm, in a ceremony at KWHS. He is choosing between Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, UVA, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

Whatever happened to a couple kids who transferred out of KW a few years ago? One of them might've left after his freshman year.

You must be referring to Loyal Gresham and his brother Marc. They went to Lafayette. Loyal will be a senior this year and will definitely play in college somewhere next year.
