Dinwiddie defender makes college choice

Congratulations to 2016 safety Reggie Williams who will play his college football at Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. The Quakers finished the year at 9-1 and were in the top 25 for most of the season. Reggie, a captain his senior year finished 2015 with 111 total tackles (68 solo/11 for a loss), he had 11 pass break-ups, caused a fumble and recovered a fumble. For his career he had 185 tackles (112 solo/15 for a loss) he caused 3 fumbles, recovered 1, had 16 pass break ups, and 2 interceptions. He also had 400 yards in punt and kick returns over his career averaging 12 yards per return. He was named 1st team all conference 20 and 2nd team all 4A East Region defensive back, and 2nd team all conference 20 punt returner, he also played in the Big River Rivalry All Star game. He carries a 3.44 GPA and will major in Biology with sites on becoming a physical therapist.

You've heard me sing Reggie's praises before. It is impossible to be in Reggie's presence and not smile. He just lights up a room. Forget about his contributions to the football program. What he contributes to student life and the atmosphere around school can not be over stated. He is one of those people that just makes everyone around him a better person.

Guilford College has picked up terrific football player, but an even better person.

Guilford is a nice DIII that was 9 - 1 last year. He could be a nice fit. Hope he's happy there. GL to him.
