Brown struckout three while throwing 95 pitches to the Warriors. Outfielders Michael Clements and Matthew Contreras both made several great plays tracking down fly balls. Contreras made a diving catch with two men on to end a threat in the fifth. Kecoughtan out-hit the Dukes 6 to 5 but they left six base-runners stranded and they hit into a double-play to end the game.

The Dukes scored all their runs in the fourth and fifth innings off homeruns from Adam Baldwin and Brian Belvin. Baldwin's homerun cleared the center field wall with Contreras on base to give the Dukes a 2-0 lead. Baldwin added a run scoring single in the fifth and later scored when Belvin sent his homerun over the left field fence on a 3-2 count with two outs.

Gloucester improved to 3-1 on the season and they will try for their fourth win when they face Hampton on Saturday. Kecoughtan travels to play undefeated Woodside.

Antonio Leite took the loss despite allowing only five hits. He struckout three while walking seven batters. He also got two of the teams six hits.
