I’d rather had a stronger test. That’s not a shot at Mathews at all. I just feel like a stronger team would of helped keep that edge sharp. Mathews did have some good size on the lines, a couple tall WRs with speed and a decent QB that tested out DBs all night. I was glad Essex got to work on their pass defense. Another good thing about it, our subs got some serious playing time and starters got rested. Next up is rival W&L who didn’t do to bad against Essex in the 1st meeting.
