Essex at Altavista - Moved to Tuesday

Game moved to Tuesday at Altavista, tip off at 6:30 pm (ice conditions on some back roads caused EHS to be closed).

The game will be streamed online by River Country radio (Warsaw-Tappahannock area station) 107.5 FM (realradio804.com) by the same great football crew of Jim Thorne, Rich Morgan, and ole Bruce Thomas (and another Essex Trojans 1st Dowwwwwwn!).

Altavista (crazy heavy favorites) is (they say) a slam dunk to win over Essex and probably it all. A-Town (Thornhill and Co.)goes for its 5th state ring having already taken two from Essex (Hammond and Co.) in football.

I must say 4 rings already is a grand accomplishment indeed. Awesome job there. I read one preview that said Altavista winning was the easiest pick in all the classifications. Almost a no brainer.

I'd be amazed if this game is decided by 15 or more points. Kids better keep their emotions in check tonight as i'm sure the "S" talking will be of abundance. An ejection tonight would be an automatic 1 game suspension, correct?

Looks like Essex or Altavista will have to play 3 nights in a row to win the region. That is a tough schedule, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. You cant change the format or dates of the region to accommodate one or two teams so I am sure they wont move it now. Maybe the weather Thursday will postpone the Championship game. The state semi is Monday so you cant back it up but so much .
