Part of my post was deleted... There were ejections ... Wasn't clear if both teams had ejections as it was near the end of the game ..I only heard Covington mentioned with ejections but I couldn't say 100%.. No players names were mentioned and the coach's name wasn't mentioned ... Not sure what was wrong with my post! Haysi can be a tough place to play and emotions can get high especially in a season ending playoff game! Would like clarification on the post being taken down please! Congrats to Covington on a good season and to Haysi on the win for the ole BDD...Great game!

The Roanoke Times has a few sentences on the ejections. Only one Covington player and only one Haysi player were kicked out, along with two Covington coaches.
Next week will be the last game ever at Haysi High School.
First, they don't play @ HHS.
Second, if they beat Galax next week, and Honaker loses this week or next, a semi will be played at Sandlick.
(I came VERY close to saying the same thing last night)
Rematch of last years game. Coach Dixon said after last year," I wish I had of developed a passing game to go with Peoples." This year will be a lot different, Galax will win by 3 td's. Galax should be hoping that Honaker wins today and next week. That way they will travel to Essex and have a better chance to make to Salem and get another shot at Altivista.
