The first person who can convince me of one positive thing as to having state championship games in Richmond will win a hotdog and soda from VCU concessions .

It needs to be somewhere near the midpoint of the state. For years it was held at UVa. Why not go back there to John Paul Jones Arena?

If its not bad enough that it is being played in Richmond, they schedule it in the middle of the week. That is just poor business management on the VHSL part. It would sell a lot more tickets on the weekend. I realize that they want to play the 5A and 6A gmaes on the weekend, but one more week is not going to kill anyone, (LOOK HOW MUCH MANY WEEKS THEY EXTENDED FOOTBALL) so that everyone has an opportunity to attend.

From what I gather, when jpj place was built, uva gave the building to some rogue management company . This company is out to screw people out of as much money as they can and apparently they signed a contract that bans VHSL from playing in jpj.

that's what I have heard. Bottom line is poor leadership somewhere in Charlottesville .

I knew no one could say anything positive about Seigel because it's impossible.

LOL...VHSL hasn't been banned from JPJ..from what a source(front office worker-relative) told me is that the management company that runs it, feel they can make more money leasing/renting it out to other events other then a high school bball tourney...so, yes, just like the VHSL they are committed to $$$$$$

I doubt if it's rented every night, or even every week.
