The Wildcats won their third conference game on Friday as they topped Gretna 6-1.

Dan River stood on a 1-0 lead on a solo homerun by Jacob Stewart until the top of the sixth inning.
The Wildcats added two more runs as Stewart had a two-run RBI-double. Justin Moser drove in two more runs on a double in the seventh, while Carter Parsons doubled to score the Wildcats’ final run.
Justin Moser and Jacob Stewart led the ‘Cats at the plate: Moser was three for four with two singles and a double, while Stewart was a triple shy of the cycle with a single, double, home run, and three RBIs. Devin Doss had a triple, Carter Parsons doubled, and Nick Jones was two for three with two singles.

Kenny Powell Jr. and Moser pitched for the Wildcats. Powell went 4.1 innings with nine K’s and no hits, while Moser pitched the final 2.2 innings, striking out three while surrendering four hits and a run.

For Gretna, Taylor Chitwood had 2 singles, with an RBI by Jason Lumpkin. Lumpkin and Hunter Cline each had singles for Gretna.
