Will the cuts in the Department of Education directly or indirectly affect high school sports. I’m sure funding comes from a variety of sources and wealthier areas may have more funding. Any insight on this?

Should not. HS sports are funded by the gate (mostly football) and additional local money. Coaches supplements are usually a school oard funding. Many system allocate additional money. Don't forget what the fan clubs and athletes raise.
Tread carefully with this subject sir, I started a thread on this a while back and was immediately labeled a communist 😂 . But on a serious note from what I've read cutting the Ed. Dept. will mainly have a negative impact on special needs children and poor children. Football should be fine. What WILL negatively impact public school sports is if VA starts allowing people to use vouchers to attend private schools, sucking even more funding from public schools. That would be the end of football for many public schools.
