First let me say I had no dog in this fight. Although my wife wanted to attend to see her a family members child cheer and I wanted to see the new field. (Very nice by the way--Congrats Glenvar.) Tonight's game was a heck of a game and the kids on both sides played extremely hard and was not mouthy or chippy at all. Love to see that at high school game.Overstreet for Glenvar and People's for Galax are studs!!.
The officiating tonight was just beyond horrible both ways . I know it is the first game of the season but OH MY. From face masks that was right in front of official not being called to the back judge throwing a flag on something that there was anyway he could of seen from that vantage point. Then officials arguing over the ball spot many more I could list.
I know I'll probably get lit up for these comments but wow it was bad. To me it is just sad because the kids deserve better than that mess. Did anyone else attend and feel the same way?
I hope both coaches send in plays on this group to be looked at by vhsl.
