Disagree. Appo didn't have 2 NFL players on their roster. Graham might be more talented than you think. Graham's freshman Yubrenal Isabell is another future likely Division 1 linebacker like his father who played at UVA and then the New England Pat's. I don't know if Graham beats KW, but 8 years from now, it's very possible to be looking back at a Graham team with the possibility of 3 NFL players on the 2021 roster. No, you wouldn't have ran through em like a locomotive. I also like Grahams chances in 2018. Looking back on that team historically, it also will have likely had 3 NFL players on the roster in Bradshaw, Meadows, and Cam Allen. No way to tell though. Pure speculation on both sides, but I just wanted to make sure you had the other side of the speculation as you gave yours. I also gave mine.

I was talking about the game film not NFHS. I’d say it’s hard to tell a lot of things on NFHS sometimes.

14 seed Stuarts Draft (6-4) at 3 seed Dan River (9-1)- Final 55-27 Stuarts Draft, and it wasn't that close. Next week, SD played at 11 seed Union (who had beaten 6 seed Graham), and won.
Or better yet, lets look at the top schools historically over time in Virginia.
How many NFL players came from Riverheads? Salem? Appomattox? etc.
I am in NO way slighting these amazing players. But to make a statement about who is better because of NFL players is extremely flawed. Go do your research and find 1 team other than Highland Springs who had multiple top recruits who dominated (and when those kids were Seniors, they didn't win the championship).

The APPO poster made a statement, an opinion by the way, not a fact, an opinion that he thought his 15 team through 17 teams would run through Graham like a locomotive. The usual "ahh shucks" "you sure would have" response won't come from me. I gave the OTHER SIDE. Graham has on this team what is likely 2 surefire NFL players in the future. I will say this again, Graham's not Union, not Glenvar, not Radford. We aren't coming to "play close or show up or compete." We come to win. The mentality doesn't care about your athletes, your speed, you team of one. All of that is great stuff and quality and it's helped win 5 deserved titles, but the mentality from Graham's side is TO BEAT YOU. So, for any Graham fan worrying about claiming whoever, I give a grand total of 2 Katie Courics. Many across the state can not STAND the fact that a team in the WEST is winning. It completely ruins your year. True colors are showing here. Ain't gonna be no "ahhh shucks, your the greatest Appo," from this poster and when you make a foolish statement that Appo would run through Graham, that's fine. That's fair. But I made mine. Your going to be challenged and you're given another side that you can't stand. The Graham of 18 would have beat any Appo team since 15. Richlands was one first down, 2 yds exactly from beating one of your great teams that would " run through Graham like a locomotive". The Graham of 21 would have also stacked up well with all the other Appo teams as would King William of 21.

The Raider guy, Appo fan made a disrespectful statement towards Graham 3-4 weeks ago about kicking their A** and sending them back to Graham and not ONE, not ONE Appo fan, nor did the 400 pounder from Stuart Draft speak up. This is why I started this thread. I remembered that statement Raider, and I am coming full steam ahead (just like Graham did against Appo) we punched you straight in the mouth and your QB ended the game the way I thought he would, on his back and he wasn't running the trap like he was against Glenvar and Radford. And when they drove through the East River Mountain tunnel, they realized they had faced somebody a littler different than Union, Glenvar and Radford.

Pure talent alone means nothing as far as winning championships. Appomattox beat Dan River when they had two future 1st Round Draft picks in the Edmund brothers and Dan River never won a state title with that CRAZY talent. Many times lesser talented teams who play as a team beat more talented teams who play as individuals. I do agree that those individuals ( Allen, Meadows and Bradshaw).
FYI- my comments aren't meant to de disrespectful to DR or the Edmunds family. They are class acts from Dad,Mom through all 3 brothers...just stating talent alone can be beat.
Alone is the keyword. Elite talent like the Edmunds with great role players and great coaching around you is very hard to beat. Dan River had 1/3rd of that formula.

And the reason I said what I did earlier in the season was that I stated something (about forfeit) and wasn't believed. Which is fine. It was only after someone from a different part of the state said it that it was then believed. The same thing the next week. Me ending up being right has nothing to do with it. And it was something similar in the Spring, maybe even from the guy from Appomattox you seem to hate so much.
As for SD refusing to play Graham, that is NOT the information I was given. But of course, I guess you have better information than I do.

Have not been on here today but I see these attacks are still continuing on different people on here ! If I have ever said anything that has offended anyone then I deeply apologize we all know that we are all very passionate about our schools and about being just high school football fans and sometimes say things out of context ! But these attacks and verbal abuse have to stop ! I have asked for this to please be stoped and feel badly if I had anything to do with this person attacking good people on here . I have been a member of this board for a long time and have meet many of you in person and I have enjoyed the conversations some times heated and as we all want your home team to win . He will remember the Connor Roberts Express too. Roberts had a great game and was pressuring and getting to Lawing all day long. Lawing did well considering all of the pressure he was under. Any other quarterback would have been sacked several more times. He was knocked around quite a bit.
Roberts had a great game, I agree. We’ve got some tough ones on that D line. Lawing was hard to get down on some of the plays. He’s a tough kid. I hope our D line shows up big against KW.

Same here. It would be great if Blevins is back to full strength next week. With a calf injury like that, it's hard to tell. I'm not sure exactly what's going on with him. Hearing a couple of different things. The Graham defense is better with him out there, but pretty darn good without him. He has made a lot of sacks and takes away the edge on his side. Graham has the luxury of a little more depth then they have had in the past this year. I'm wondering about King William and if they are at full strength or if they are banged up at all?

I was at that game. Union came out on fire after halftime. That was an electric atmosphere that day.
It was a great atmosphere at Union and they were tough. I thought Saturday was a great atmosphere as well , the only difference is the stadium is so big it doesn't have the same feel since neither side was packed. Don't get me wrong there were a lot of folks there for both sides but you know what I mean.
You are already at an advantage then because that’s not the case for Graham. I hope no players from either team suffer an injury Saturday & it’s a great game between two great teams! Good luck to both but I’m obviously hoping the number on the home side of the scoreboard is higher when the final whistle blows! #GoGMen
According to the VHSL playoff bracket, that’s where I saw it. I don’t know how they determined it unless it went by powerpoints or maybe it’s just C/D winner’s turn to be home team. They used to alternate & that may be how they still do it.
The G-men win the game and that's all that matters. None of this could've stuff is needed.
