Giles has to have the stupidest coach, and or AD in the history of high school football to agree to this.
Grayson/Giles game moved to Thursday.

I think its the home teams decision and as long as they have a "reasonable reason" then games moved.
You got less than a 1/2 in rain forecast to clear out by 1 pm Friday. Grayson has a brand new turf field. It's over a 2 hour road trip for Giles on a school night. Somebody from Giles had to agree to this move on barely 24 hours notice
On a turf field against a team with superior speed. Of course Giles would be better off on a wet rainy field. No doubt about it.
They did the same thing against Tazewell a few weeks ago. Agreed to play on a nice dry field knowing that Tazewell is a pass heavy team. Why wouldn't they want to play Tazewell on a cold, rainy, breezy night???? Think about this for a second.
It's not a school night for Giles. Their school calendar shows being closed for Veteran's Day on Friday.
Thanks. Was not aware. Still a long trip on a work night, for us older folks. Just don't see the necessity for the change, on 1 days notice
Anyone in the know have the reasoning for the change? It is rather odd unless they feel they can dispatch of Giles easily then go scout next opponent on Friday in the forecasted dry weather...... oh that's probably not it either
