Never could I ever imagine that H'burg would be this bad - they were always near the top or top team when I went to school at Lee.

I realize there's two teams in the "burg now, but wow....these scores.
maybe the good under classmen went to Rocktown; they won today.

Major demographic change in hburg, and Russians, Latinos and Arab's don't prioritize football.

Demographic change and participation numbers were dwindling the last few years. Add that to splitting the schools into two and the numbers decrease even more.

hopefully they will bounce back each school has around 1000 students.

I hope Rocktown and Harrisonburg play each other going forward. The rivalry should creat a little additional interest in football.

Congratulations to Competition Cheer on winning the Valley District Championship sponsored by Sentara. Also, congrats to our athletes who received All District Recognition. 1st Team: Atilla, Can, Emma. 2nd Team: Gabrielle, Ayca, Zion.

They will. Rocktown will move to a full Valley District schedule next year so they will lock up with Harrisonburg every year. I assume they will make it the last week of the regular season as most of the big rivalry games take place then around here.

what are they doing about basketball coaches; they seem strangely silent on the subject. It is almost November!
