Heritage's RB Elijah Davis

Seems like an outstanding kid and awesome football player. He will be successful in life.

I got to see that young man run against MV last year...I knew I was seeing a talented, athletic young man. He is built for running a football and according to that article he is as strong mentally as physically. I wish this young man well in his future wherever it takes him! Heck of a RB!

How come he is not publicized? I don't see him on a recent list of the best prospects in the Class of 2018 in Virginia. He is listed at 5-10 195. Is he closer to 5-6? That's the only reason I can see for his lack of publicity.

Gotten to know the young man quite a bit the last year or so. 5'10", 195 is about right. Great kid, I'd say his lack of offers is from lack of exposure. Not sure his film has gotten out yet and lack of camp exposure. Some school is going to get a gem, that's for sure.

LaLa is talented, not sure if he is in the best of 2018 class, he doesn't have a burst. He will give opposing defenses fits though. I heard he ran 4.4 at VT camp this summer.

I guess it's just exposure. I saw him play many times last year, and wondered why he doesn't have D1 offers. He is a talented back. The only offer he has is from D2 UVA Wise. These D1 schools are definitely sleeping on him for sure!

He went to the camps he wanted to this past summer. I don't think it is from lack of exposure. He will land at a FCS I think and do well!

Good for him! It would be great to see him on the college level! He's gonna light it up this year! Just as long as he doesn't light it up against Glass I'm fine haha!

Kid has talent, but I couldn't say he has the same game breaking ability of some other backs in the state coming out this year, such as the kid from Hopewell or even Beck from Blacksburg. He ran a muck in the seminole this past season but I wouldn't say there were many elite teams or defensive units in the district. He is a competitor and makes things happen, I could see him at a FCS like a JMU, Richmond but I don't know if those offers will fall through but a D2 or NAIA style as a player he would excel and flourish.

Lack of exposure or not attending camps is not the problem. College coaches are at the Seminole district schools on a regular basis. College coaches know about him and has attended several camps since he was a rising freshman. The reason he hasn't received and FBS or FCS offers is simple and @rainman17 hit the nail on the head...he just doesn't have the explosiveness (quickness) that an FBS or FCS back needs. That's not a knock on him by any means because he is a beast but there are just so many backs that are bigger AND more explosive (quicker) than he is.

He will be a great addition to somebody's roster regardless of classification because, as good of football as he is, he's an even better teammate.
