Hopewell Vs Skyline

sorry for the copy and paste from Devils over on the 4a board but sounds like a carbon copy of our game last night.

"Appreciate it..We had a lot working against us and it was almost entirely self inflicted. Not tao take anything away from skyline they came to win, but we shot ourselves in the foot repeatedly. Our QB/RB/DB ALL had to make the plays and THEY did."

Hopewell has a lot of terrific players on their team. They made a lot first half mistakes. Silly penalties, fumbles, and leaving Skyline players completely uncovered. They cut down on those mistakes late in the first half and played more as a team in the 2nd half, forcing Skyline into deep passing situations which led to interceptions. They might want to not make so many mistakes against JM, because it probably won't be as easy to make up for those if they get down again.

Thanks for the info schoolboard. Missed the game as i was rooting on my team, but i support Hopewell as well. With the exception of the Dinwiddie game Hopewell has played very well. I am sure Coach Irby will have them ready.
