All jokes aside @springer76 and @HooSprings please feel free to crow! This team is not only "special" they are well balanced on offense and the defense well nuff said. Congrats on a dominating performance Springers.KMart show!
A little of both, don’t get it twisted the Springers are the best in the state IMO, however that wasn’t your 2017-19 Forge squad by any means…. Hoping MV can break through the region and get to face the mighty Springers in late November!!HS fairly impressive. Or Forge down. Or both. Can't really tell yet.
I agree a little bit of both; not your normal CF team but there is little doubt HS is very, very good. Although I have not seen them play, don't dismiss Freedom (PW) from the best team in the state discussion. We won't really know since there is no way they play this year, but I think those two are well ahead of anyone else in Virginia. OS is not quite up to their normal level either (unless they just played poorly vs IR) and, IMO, probably should have lost the game vs IR.A little of both, don’t get it twisted the Springers are the best in the state IMO, however that wasn’t your 2017-19 Forge squad by any means…. Agreed to what you said! Keep in mind this year's edition of Springer Football is still somewhat young. Khristian Martin, Jakyre Henley, a number of offensive and defensive linemen and others are still Juniors. They will be back for their Senior seasons NEXT year.HS has a lot of speed at the skill positions and the O line gives the QB all day. QB holds the ball too long so I'd be curious how a better D line does against them. But yeah talented team and my biggest takeaway is how disciplined they are in all facets.
They faced two fantastic defensive lines when they faced chambers(North Carolina),and the defensive line from Martinsburg(West Virginia)was supposed to be their strength. Chambers was loaded with size and speed. The Highland Springs quarterback is listed on his Twitter page at 6’4-215 pounds with 5 power 5 offers as a Jr. I expect more to come. He had 100 yards on the ground against both of those teams and has only been sacked four times this year. He had at least 200 yards passing against both of those teams too. Four out of the five offensive lineman returned from last year‘s state semifinal team. The fifth one that replaced the missing starter is 6’7- 315 pounds with an offer from coastal Carolina as a junior. A very cohesive unit. The Defense show their depth up front last night when they were missing all state defensive end and UVA commit Michael Green(broken thumb). Someone is going to have to be exemplary,at all phases of the game, to beat this team. only one team has held them under five touchdowns. Only one team has scored more than one offensive touchdown. As my friend @springer76 stated…this is a relatively young team too. D6 is already on alert for next year!HS has a lot of speed at the skill positions and the O line gives the QB all day. Maybe you didn't see the 1st game of the season against Chambers in NC, they were getting consistent pressure against hshs Oline but Kristian stayed poised, brought time with his scrambling, and made some big time throws.HS has a lot of speed at the skill positions and the O line gives the QB all day. Myles Green, is Michael's younger brother is who you are referring to as missing last night. My bad! They would not let him play with the cast on his hand in the rain. He’ll be back Friday vs PH.Myles Green, is Michael's younger brother is who you are referring to as missing last night. Michael graduated from James Madison last year, Malcomb is at Clemson.
Myles is the youngest of the 3 stud brothers!
