This was a hard fought battle, defensive slugfest! Both offenses struggled at times especially in the kicking game. Lots..., way too many penalties for both teams!
This video of Loren Johnson's take on the game (after the game) is on point from the teacher for these high school kids. His point of view, his suggestions, his keys and drive to get better every day is incredible! This is why he and his staff is arguably the best high school football program in the State of Virginia.

I especially like what he said about the 757 vs 804... we should nix that separation of category and consider our selves the State of Virginia and strive to make the State better as a whole!
There was a guy sitting right behind us (6-7 Springers) and kept flapping his jaw about the 804 ain't s_ _t... and they will never match up to the 757. He went on and on about Hampton and how the beat up on us in the 70's, Hampton's 11 titles, Phoebus' 7 and on down the line to finally figure it ou just how many the 757 had in history and blah blah blah!
I mean this man went on the ENTIRE game never shut up. So, when the clock wound down to about 1:00 in the 4th qtr. He got up and left! We all laughed at him when he left He graciously saluted us all with a big EFF YOU! We were cracking up! To the point of this , exactly what coach Johnson said we need to nix that bad behavior and enjoy what a great game it really was! Even with all the penalties and bad kicks, etc. , it was truly a great and entertaining game!

I agree, I wish that everyone would remember that it's a game for kids, played by kids. It's not a damn military invasion.

I like the good natured rivalry, but only when it stays respectful and involves a little humor. Which is what most people do. But, there are always idiots like the guy that sat behind you Springer. I commend you for not giving the bully his pulpit.

You guys take it easy on poor MBK this week. Their situation is not the kids fault, and I'll leave it at that.

Danny said he is covering the Henrico/Deep Run game this week. Am I the only one that thinks this will be a lopsided game with DR winning easily?

Henrico has WAY too much speed for DRun! Henrico “May” shut them out!
