Spotswood had a tough draw, pulling the Greyhounds in the 1st round. IC Norcom is real. It just shows that that East Region is tough.

Norcom may be the real deal but this is the biggest shocker of the tournament. Spotswood is very good. Norcom must have played their best game of the year to pull this off. Congrats and good luck.

Definitely not a big shocker. Most folks that have seen Spotswood and teams from the East play this year saw this coming. No matter how many players they recruit as transfers they still can't beat the best teams in the East. And the boxscore also tells some of the story of this game-Spotswood played 4 players nearly the entire game. They were gassed at crunch time and Norcom played a much more balanced game in terms of subs and kept their guys fresh.

Spotswood could be great but, there is absolutely no way a multiple repeat defending champion winning is considered a shocker to anybody other than a fan of Spotswood. I honestly thought it would take the West longer to catch up in football when R&R was originally announced but, it appears there is a bigger mountain to climb in basketball.

Considering that NS beat Phoebus and Spotswood beat NS twice and that Norcom is a 4 seed and Spotswood a 1 seed, this was an upset. Believe what you want but Norcom must have played a great game to beat Spotswood.

Norcom is the champ until someone sends them home. I'm thinking that they are going for their 4th in a row.

Did not say Norcom did not play a great game. Said it was not a shocker despite the seeds because both Norcom and Spotswood did what they normally do in the playoffs and until you beat the champion the No. 1 seed doesn't mean much.

I am telling you Northside is the best team in the tournament. They were showing off out there last night with several big dunks. I was shocked how good they were. They beat a JM team that has at least 4 D1 ball players and a 6'9 Freshman that is the number 1 rated Freshman in the country. Last night they beat a good Pheobus team flat out. And the east is waaaay better than the West as a whole but I think Northside is gonna pull this out! One thing I will point out is it is tough to beat a team that is making shots. Northside is shooting well this week. Burying several big 3's on on the regular. If they keep this up they can do it.

Lol what a terrible logic.

Spotswood is always a contender, but were solid and had the tools this season. They beat Northside and Lee twice and Handley once, (beat Amelia by 40) all teams playing for State Titles. Unfortunate that Irvine and Ouderkirk were playing with injuries and drew Norcom in the first round. They should be in the finals. They are definitely one of the top teams in the state.
