It's good to see they finally wised up and changed the boards again

ER, I can appreciate the fact that most of us didn't care for the changes. And therefore are appreciative of Rod listening and reverting back. But you need to remember, harsh comments don't go to some nameless, faceless corporation, they smack directly in the face of Rod Johnson. He listened and he went back to what we asked for.
Everyone needs to remember, this forum doesn't cost you a dime. It's a free service.
I'm a businessman, too. As part of my business, I do things that cost me and don't cost the recipients a penny. And there have been times, because of unwarrented criticism, that I just had to stop.
Offer Rod your suggestions and opinions, but please don't attack him or his judgement personally.
I would encourage you to strongly consider becoming a member of Virginia Preps. There is access to a lot of good information that you can't find elsewhere. And it's cheap. Too, cheap, really. But please don't tell Rod that!
Well here's a fact too... You're never going to please everyone and the fact is some liked the old format, some liked the new( I believe I was in the minority). No matter what moves/changes are made you just got to make the best of it and roll with it. Not everyone likes change but good or bad, change is a fact of life and in the time I've been a member and contributor to the site, I've seen a ton of change. This is not the first and I'm sure it won't be the last.
Where did I attack or judge anyone and be harsh? I thought I read about someone saying the move to change the boards was being made from some higher ups, so that's why I said "they". Is Rod Johnson the only one in control here to change and fix the site? Lots of stuff is free and people can still say what they gotta say about any change. I don't see how or why Rod Johnson would feel offended with what I said or for you to jump all over it now, especially since there were so many against it, but it's whatever.
Here, let me explain it to you....
Every guy on the VirginiaPreps.com staff has a full-time job and everything that we do is done in our spare time because we love high school football and love covering it.
Now, we made a change that people did not like. Some people were constructive in their criticism, discussed their issues reasonably with me, like adults do, so we changed it back to meet with the wishes of those people.
Then, we get a guy like you who wants to come up here and talk nonsense without an ounce of gratitude about the fact that we provide these messageboards for free. Check around the Rivals network, almost every high school site is premium boards only.
I don't expect any gratitude for changing the boards back. We made a mistake, we admitted it and we listened to the reasonable people who contacted me with their concerns.
However, what is not going to happen is posts like yours inferring that we are "finally wised up" and changed the "joke" that the boards were, finally having "some sense".
I see more of it and the next message board change will be to either eliminate you from them OR eliminate the free boards altogether.
