J.I. Burton will travel from Norton to Chilhowie Saturday for the region D 1A Championship game. This game will be a rematch, as the two played the second week of the season with Chilhowie winning 36-0 at Norton. Both team have improved a lot since that game. JIB has reeled off several wins, as Chilhowie has done the same. I look for a close game in Chilhowie with the Warriors pulling it out in the end. Prediction Chilhowie 28 J.I.Burton 24

Looks like a great day for this Regional Championship game. Hoping for a safe and hard fought game with the winner coming out and representing Region D well. I think Chilhowie will pull this one out but you know it's championship football and Coach Adams has a way of having his teams ready this time of the year. With today's winner still to be determined in the trenches what is everyone's thoughts on next week? Does Chilhowie / JIB winner have a shot at Galax / Narrows winner? From what I've read looks like the game will be played at a Region C site so home field is a plus. Looking forward to this afternoon so again good luck all teams today.
