Well, things are starting to clear up.
Tier One: Louisa - I do think they should be in the conversation for a 4A title. There are some great teams out there and I still wouldn't make them a favorite, but a possiblity.
Tier Two: Powhatan - I think they've looked good enough at times, but there still seesm to be work to do. Maybe not quite on Louisa's level.
Albemarle - Similar to what I think about Powhatan. Problem is they just don't have much tradition of winning, and they head to 5A playoffs when they advance. Can probably beat anyone in district on right night (it would be a real special night to get past Lions).
Tier Three : Orange - Really not far behind Powhatan and Albemarle but since they dropped games to both of them we have to put them a tier down. I still could see them winning 4 of last 5 if they keep their focus and getting back to playoffs at 6-4. 5A playoffs still too deep of waters for the Hornets, but they have come a long way in two years.
Charlottesville - I still am not sure what to make of the Black Knights, but I feel like they're right on Orange's level, but probably a 4th to 6th place finish is in order here.
Western Albemarle - Disappointing so far. I consider them on Orange's and C'ville's level when they're playing well, but that's not happening every week. Definitely not the Warriors we knew last year.
Monticello - The 'stangs have really surprised me and I currently think they're #7 in the district, but all of these teams are pretty close and I could see them beating everyone but Louisa and Powhatan on a given night.
Tier Four: Fluvanna - Just not competitive.
Louisa is the only team I'm expecting to have a super strong run in the playoffs, though Powhatan and the 3A's could pull out a win or two with good draws.
