It was a good run, but the Alexandria City Titans unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 73-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of John Marshall. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Thursday (59), Alexandria City still had to take the loss.
As for John Marshall, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with that victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season.
Alexandria City will head out on the road to take on West Springfield at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. West Springfield will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 248th, while Alexandria City is ranked 13th). As for John Marshall, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Freeman at 7:01 pm
