OK Prognosticator. I was definitely wrong on this one and you were right. Congratulations to Graham on a great win. Now go get Union!
Hey, I'm wrong more often than I'm right...
Sounded like James River had a very good team, Graham made the defensive adjustments at the half....and it worked.
Union is a well oiled machine. Graham will have to play their best to have a shot.
Would've liked to see JR at 100% for this one, but that's football. Congrats to the Knights on a great season and good luck to the G Men the rest of the way! #17 for you guys is a beast!
Several of us tried to tell people that Graham has a high powered offense and could win this game....
There's several. Buckingham @ Richlands, Giles @ Glenvar, Graham @ Union. Those are some good games.
While I think that has the potential to be a good game, I think ( biased opinion alert ) the Richlands / Buckingham game could be as good or better !
But we did try to tell people that Graham is a dangerous team ! Cousins is a beast at RB and their D has improved a lot !
I'm not sure if anybody can give Richlands a good game, with the exception of Union and possibly Appomattox, but we'll see how the Buckingham and Richlands game goes.
As for Graham and Union. I just don't see Graham's defense improved enough to stop them consistently. I'll say Union something along the lines of 49 to 21...49 to 28....or something of the sort... Can always hope for some turnovers or something. Maybe Graham will continue to impress me with their improvement, but Union is still a heavy favorite in my opinion.
I do think I called this early in the season, that Graham would be dangerous come playoff time...... still not enough to topple Union, they are loaded.
I like what's going on at Graham, pride is coming back to this town, it's only a matter of time. They have already taken a big step with that win yesterday. Tons of young talent returning next season...future looks very bright.

Graham has 2 very good looking jv qb's. Going to be interesting to see how that develops.

Graham has had the athletes all along. Palmer just needed some time to fit the puzzle pieces. The boys are listening and playing with a swagger that is contagious. Its great to see the level they are playing at now. It will be a hard task at Union but they will play ball. Very proud of them and this Richlands fan will be pulling for the upset. Prognosticator told us this early in the season and he was right on the money.
Most of us from Richlands knew they were going to be a tough out. They just had too many athletes and were young, just needed some experience and confidence.
Even though we are rivals and I love to beat them, I am still glad to see them getting back to the Graham that they had the potential to be. Have to pull for our Tazewell Co brothers !

As far as Graham J.V. QB's, they are both freshmen and both very good. One is also an excellent receiver and has already made some big plays as a freshman at that position. There are a lot of Juniors on this team that play at the skill positions. If they can get solid lineplay, they have potential to put up big numbers next season.
Like I said, it will be interesting to see how it develops, but both are good athletes and can play multiple positions.
