Juan Thornhill and Altavista made it onto Espn Top 10 for March 11th. Juan Thornhill had a couple monster dunks in the championship game against Honaker. One dunk stood out from the rest. Meche Maulbeck driving to the hoop threw an alley-oop off the backboard for Thornhill and it was thrown down hard for the monster dunk. This play made it as the number 2 play on the top 10. That's a heck of an athletic talent you guys had there. Watched some video. I know it was more than one man but AltaVista doesn't get either of these State Championships in Football and Basketball without Juan Thornhill. He will be missed but UVA looks like they got a good one. GL to him and next year's Colonel squads.
