Senior Culver Lamb struckout the first two Granby hitters he faced and he did not allow an earned run to power Tallwood to a 6-1 Conference 1 home win. Lamb, who signed to play at Virginia Military Institute, improved to 4-1 on the year by striking out nine and allowing only six hits.

Tyler McQueerey smashed a 3-run homerun off of Granby starter Matt Eagle in the 1st inning to provide Lamb all the runs he needed. Eagle also walked in a run with the bases loaded in the 3rd inning.

Granby scored their only run in the second inning after back-to-back singles by Matthew Anderson and James Greer put runners on second and third. Anderson would score on a wild pitch.
