Northampton lost against Lancaster back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Northampton Yellowjackets fell just short of the Lancaster Red Devils by a score of 72-70. The loss continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Northampton still got an impressive performance from Jaylen Anderson, who went 11 for 24 en route to 30 points plus five assists and five rebounds. Anderson has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Amir Bailey, who posted 11 points plus three steals.
Northampton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hampton Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lancaster, they will look to take advantage of their home-court for the first time this season as they take on Surry County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lancaster is coming into the game hot, having won their last 17 games dating back to last season.
