Lancaster Boys Wins State Championship In Indoor Track & Field

It was the first time Class 1A has been separated from Class 2A for the indoor state championships and it came down to the last event. Lancaster led by four points over Galileo. Galileo finished first in the 4x400 relay and Lancaster finished second by three-quarters of a second, allowing them to edge Galileo 82-80 for the championship.

It was just a great meet overall and the separation proved very competitive. In 2A, Bruton won by a few points and there were co-champions for girls.

Lancaster has a great track program, coach Washington and his team does an outstanding job. Back to back outdoor championships and now the indoor title.
