Latest Region 5A Basketball Standings (2/3/2020)

Region 5A - one of the most competitive in the entire state - will take ten schools out of the expanded 18-team field to the postseason. Seeds 7 through 10 will essentially participate in a 'play-in' game on Saturday, February 22nd to reach the quarterfinals, all hosted by higher seeds.
Quarterfinal games will take place on Tuesday, February 25th (1 and 4 seeds at the 1 seed's gym) and Wednesday, February 26th (2 and 3 seeds host at the 2 seed's gym).
From there, the semifinals and finals will be held at the Norfolk Scope. The semis will be on Friday, February 28th, while the finals are slated for Monday, March 2nd. The last two teams standing move on to the VHSL Class 5 State Tournament.
