LCA wins in OT

I spoke with the admission coordinator and heck stated over 10,000 fans here.
Well the world will come to a halt. We'll finally get to see private vs public school in the VA playoffs. I expect they'll be a handful 1st rd especially.

I wouldn't be surprised to see LCA spring forth a couple of upsets. They beat Charlotte Christian and a VERY GOOD Benedictine team. I wouldn't want to see them in the playoffs.

Man what a game! Both teams played their guts out! What an emotion game for the bulldogs. They came out and answered every time Benedictine scored. There no quit in the team, coaching staff, or the fans. In it the crowd was the loudest hs crowd I've heard in a while. With the four teams in front of them losing, is it possible to get that 8th seed and host a game next week? But sorry to everyone out there but it looks like the dawgs are dancing and you probably don't want to see them in the first rd or two

Well if my math is correct Amherst will fall to 13th at 24.4 and Liberty Bealton jumps to 12th at 24.6. Losing to a 3A or above school would have had Amherst atleast tied for 12th (3A) and in sole possession of 12th at 4A and higher. Playing down 2 divisions hurt them tonight as they only got 8 pts with the loss. My math could be wrong though.
They always scheduled up and lost those games for the last 3 years and decided to schedule down this year and had a decent season and it still might keep them out, what a bummer if this is true

If you squeaked in at 12 like it sounds then you don't really want to see JF in the 2nd week.

Wikki I was way off. Why I deleted it. I'll wait and see it's going to be close

A lot of folks were thinking that Woodgrove and Sherando would be tied for 4th place with wins tonight and Sherando would win the tie breaker...
If that pans out the #12 team will be coming to Woodgrove next week.
I'm curious if we knocked our rival Loudoun Valley out of the playoffs tonight?

Good luck to all of the teams scrambling to make playoffs!

Not always a bad thing to not get the bye. Sometimes momentum means all the difference in the playoffs.

I stand corrected. I didn't think LCA could beat a team of Benedictine's caliber given their poor showings against Woodberry, Bishop McNamara and Avalon. Where has this Bulldog team been all year?

A lot of people are giving Benedictine a lot of credit where they get no respect from publics in the Richmond area. They aren't better than the Highland Springs, Bird, Hermitage, or a couple of the top teams in the Richmond area. Wasn't like LCA beat the Seattle Seahawks.

Lca over the last six weeks have been playing playing with their backs against the wall and they had to keep throwing punches to stay in the playoff hunt. I think early in the season they got comfortable. Bishop McNamara plays in the same league as Georgetown prep, gonzaga who has been in the top 25 in the nation, and with Dematha who was as high as #2 in the nation and bishop lost to them by 5. So McNamara is a really good team and had too many athletes for lca. The Woodberry and Avalon game, they had to play perfect games and kept shooting them inside in the foot. And I know injuries are part of the game but #80 the wr missed all three games they lost, I'm not saying they win if he play but all three of those teams went 8 in the box and played man and dared lca to throw. Lca has average wrs except for that #80 he's a special player as you can see from last nights game. So with him they get a legit deep threat.
Benedictine would beat any team in the Richmond area. I don't know to many hs teams that have 6 division 1 players on it.

6 Division 1 players because of combines, playing against inferior competition, and hand selecting your players. Benedictine would lose to all those teams I named earlier..I know you want to make the win seem big, but Benedictine is a good private school but nothing special when compared to other public schools in its own area.

rofl there's no way you actually think Benedictine could beat Bird unless you were totally clueless of public school play in this state.
