It's a rematch a whole three days in the making.
Saturday night, East Rockingham edged Robert E. Lee 59-55 in an overtime boys basketball game. The Leemen blew a seven-point lead heading into the fourth quarter en route to losing their first game of the season.

Lee could find excuses for the loss, chief among them that the game was played on the road and without their best player, Jarvis Vaughan. But the bottom line is East Rock won the game.
And with that win, the Eagles created a logjam at the top of the Shenandoah District boys basketball race. Three teams now have one loss with two of them, Wilson and East Rock, halfway through their district schedule with 7-1 marks. Lee is a win behind the other two at 6-1.
On Tuesday, Lee and East Rock meet again, a scheduling quirk caused by Lee High's successful football run that forced the postponement of some early games in Lee's schedule.

Lee will have Vaughan back. After getting two technical fouls during Friday's win over Stuarts Draft, the senior was disqualified for Saturday's meeting with East Rock. He will certainly make a difference for Lee on Tuesday, as will playing in the comforts of the Paul Hatcher Gym.
"In a perfect world I would rather have a few weeks between games," East Rock coach Carey Keyes told me Monday morning. "We will make adjustments from the first game though and be ready tomorrow. I expect Lee to do the same and I expect another tough game with a great atmosphere."
Whichever way the game goes Tuesday, if Wilson can pull off a win against Stonewall Jackson the Hornets will be in a two-way tie for first in the loss column. Wilson beat Stonewall by 12 on the road in early December, but the Hornets are currently playing much better, riding a seven-game winning streak.
