All of this talk about who's the best in the west. Who's best in the east. I myself am a GW fan and will not pick against them at any time. I have watched these kids from sandlot to high school. And I will say if they are on their game they are going to be hard to beat. But with that said I know that any team can be beat on any given night. This year I've seen them get beat by a real good Galax team. With help from the GW team you can't turn the ball over like they did that night and win. And I've seen them blow out the rest of their schedule. You don't hang 40 points on teams week in and week out and not be that good. I myself think GW has a good chance to be in Salem. But there are no guarantees. Can't wait to see my Maroons get started this Friday in the playoffs. Maroon and Gray for ever.

Great post Roons the playoffs will be fun no doubt. And any team including our MAROONS can be beat on any night. Now is the time you either play your best and peak or you go home. If this is group is clicking they have everything they need to win a title. And after that loss to Galax they have done what all the great GW teams have done play lights out. Time will tell us where these young men stand. Best of luck to my MAROONS and all of the other teams still competing.

Kids (players) have decided state titles on the field for decades upon decades. This year is no different.

As for fans talking about who they feel is the best in the East, West, or both, this is AWESOME. It is what we do as fans. It is part of being a fan. It creates fun sports dialogue. As for the players themselves, of course they should NOT be discussing or messaging or worrying about who is better or worse, etc. But as fans.......let it rip. It's fun.

I agree 100%. It just seems that some are just trying to stir the pot a little more than others. I myself think that the west is loaded this year. We have 5 or six teams at 7 and 3 or better. And at the top you have GW at 9 and 1 Galax at 8 and 2 hurley at 10 and 0 PM at 9and 1 any of these teams are capable of winning in Salem

Who else decides it, if they don't? GW has blown everyone out this year. Just wondering how they will handle a close game.
