Long year in Danville

Long season ahead. Young and the smallest skill guys I’ve ever seen in Danville. GW fans will have to be patient. 4-6 will be a successful season this year. Not looking good going to Glass next week.
This is a different Amherst team than previous years. Those little freshman pups are juniors now
GW gone be ok once they get the penalties down. #4 is a slippery back. When the ran direct snap to him Amherst struggled but they only ran it on the goal line?
They normally run that package on goal line and late down, short yardage situations. GW will need to get those young boys in the weight room. Amherst dared GW to contain the edge and bullied us all night. Couldn’t stop it. I hate to sound negative but GW is a glorified JV team this year, a lot like Amherst was in 2014 & 2015. Most JV teams are bigger. They will be okay. Good throwing those kids in those situations against Glass, Dinwiddie and an improved Amherst team.
GW has run that WR wildcat goal line formation against Salem a couple of times and it's pretty tough to stop. They should consider running it a little more often.
GWD will be in the playoffs. Anderson is an good coach and gets them going after some experience. I was impressed with achs much improved but honestly still a ton of mistakes. They should have scored 70. The defense line was impressive
I noticed the def line was awesome last night..A bit surprising since our best lineman transferred..I think we need to pump the brakes slightly,but we got some good talent on the way...
I agree. The spring season was their best shot at beating Salem as GW scored twice from that and abandoned it. Would like to see GW run the Wing-T this year. It would slow the game down for the young pups.
Sorry gunna have to disagree there. You’ve only had one D lineman transfer and while he might have looked like the best lineman he was far from it. #71, #66, and #35 are all better than the individual that transferred.
