Mathews vs Middlesex

Middlesex jumped out to an early led 7-0. Mathews didn’t start 6 players due to discipline. It out then in a whole early and Middlesex had the fire going all night. Both teams have a lot of potential to be dangerous later in the season. Both coaches will get their teams to a level of consistency through these first few weeks. Middlesex finished the game out 33-9.

I head that some of the starters didn't show for a practice, so the HC started the kids that did show up, to include at least one JV player. If this is true, kudos to the HC for setting the standard and enforcing the standard. I also heard there were several key starters on Mathews that were injured.

You could tell there were multiple jv players that started. They had one kid that played defensive tackle that will be a force in years to come.
