Virginia Preps is doing their own top 10 on the main page, but this is my preseason top 10 and is just my opinion and for conversation purposes

1. Riverheads - Still the king!!
2. Galax- Is this the year they finish 1st?
3. Essex- Loaded with talent plus 4 transfers
4. King and Queen- 19 returning starters
5. George Wythe- Looking to bounce back
6. Rural Retreat- Senior laden team
7. Northumberland- Led by Cameron Seldon
8. Giles- Scrappy bunch
9. Grundy- Physical team. Hard nosed RB
10. Buffalo Gap- Last year's Region B runners up

Nice list and could be the way they finish. I do believe

Essex will be tough but is K&Q that close to the top? Asking as I haven't seen them. I know they have a phenom at QB but what else am I missing with them?

GW has some talk going on so they will likely be as advertised and be in the mix.

Had heard Giles was young last year so they should improve if al the pieces are back and clicking.

Gap has some good pieces but the showings in the scrimmages leave me thinking they may step back unless they come together. Certainly can do but will they.

Galax and GW will put a lot of people on notice these first few weeks. To be honest they need not win against Radford or Glenvar to still be really dangerous come late November into early December.

King and Queen is basically the same team that they've had the last 2 years. Most of their seniors are 3 and 4 year starters and they've gone 16-3 during that time, with two of those losses being regional championship games and the 3rd was to 2A state champion King William

I know KQ was tough last year. I watched them play Northumberland. They have a lot of speed and very disciplined.
