Meridian 51 New Kent 45 Final. NK had several chances to tie or take the lead, but the shots wouldn't fall. Probably the worst I've seen NK play all year. Hats off to Meridian though. They're undefeated for a reason. Very fundamentally sound team.

Not well in my opinion. Not much size at all. Very fundamental. Similar team to New Kent.

Just came from the Hopewell and William Monroe game Hopewell won 68-38 . And Hopewell removed the starters with 4 minutes left in the game. Monroe had one kid who was pretty good but they couldn't match up with Hopewell. Fridays game from what they said tonight will be at Hopewell, Meridian will have to play their best game of the year to beat Hopewell. Not taking anything away from them they're 26-0 for a reason. Yeah they're undefeated for a reason, and they play well as a team. New Kent was just off tonight. If they had of played like they did against Hopewell the other night, I think they'd have won by double digits. But the old saying is you live by the 3 and you die by the 3, and while still making probably 7 or 8 threes, it was well below what they normally make.

How does Meridian match up with Hopewell?

They don’t. Spellman is going to eat. Hopewell is a top 5 public school in the state to me. Wouldn’t surprise me if they won by 15+

Not only Spellman but Cherry has been dominating and is underrated, he's a 6'4 sophomore and is physical on both ends offense and defense so watch out for him.
