Northumberland has rocking send off - Rapp to send 3 teams to states!

Northumberland Baseball had a fine send off to states this morning. The band escorted the team through the halls of students and outside to be picked up by the charter bus. People lined the sidewalk as the bus left escorted by a parade of around 15 vehicles - police, fire trucks, buses, etc.

NHS baseball remains the last Indian team standing after Northumberland enjoyed its best Spring Sports season ever.

All four teams - Baseball, Softball, Boys and Girls Soccer - advanced to or past the Region Qs. The four teams accounted for over 60 victories just this Spring. Track also did well.

Rappahannock High School is sending three sports teams to Radford to participate in States!

Boys Soccer, Softball, and Tennis are going for the glory.

The radio announce people will line the streets of Warsaw as all three teams will head out at 1 pm to I'm sure a raucous sendoff. Richmond County has so many teams going to states they have given the students and staff the day off tomorrow! Well done.

Gotta love small town America!!!

This has by far been northumberlands best season in sports that I can remember. Football had its best season in 20 years. Basketball made it to the state semis losing to the eventual state champion. Wrestling was district champ for the first time in 15 years. Along with the most the representatives in states in school history plus a state champion. Girls soccer was district champ for the first time in years Boys soccer had there best season in many years. Softball had a great season. Finally baseball plays tomorrow and hoping to take coach Johnny Mothershead out with a bang. Been a great year for Indian Nation and the whole Northern Neck District. Good luck to all the teams at Radford and Tech this weekend.

Well, I guess you can't cheer Go RHS since they both are RHS and both teams are also Red - lol.

2A Softball also has King William v Page - Go Cavs! I believe that game is at VT where Rapp's star Slaw will play next year.

KW people are great fans in my experience. Page are nice folks too I'm told. I think one of my fav posters gtownfencecrew is at Page or is that the infamous pawfan?

Updates will be often on the Rapp Soccer and KW Softball.

There were lots of Rapp signs and some NHS signs too in Richmond County - stopped at Food Lion in Warsaw with my green on and several people were like go Raiders and Indians - nice that rivals can come together to pull for each other in states!
