Northumberland voted preseason NND #1

The state champs came from the NND last season (Lancaster).

LHS knocked off NHS in the State final four tourney last season on the way to the title.

Preseason voting for 2018-19 by the NND coaches -

1) Northumberland
2) Lancaster
3) Essex
4) Rappahannock
5) W&L
6) Colonial Beach

Can someone post game stats? Lancaster has a good program with no info out there about the team and its players.

Should be another wild ride. Sorry, I love polls (and think they have value).

As coaches are not allowed to vote for their own team, I am sure LHS voted for NHS and NHS voted for LHS (I would think).

That means the other coaches voted for NHS.

NHS returns All State Baller (and Football star) Delvin Palmer plus some other strong returnees.

I think Lancaster lost 4 of 5 starters (I may be wrong).

Both had awesome JVs if I remember correctly. Should be fun!

Wow.....no respect for the champs. Ohh well, we were underdogs last year. We don’t mind it this year. Let’s go Red Devils. Lancaster doesn’t have anything else to prove, especially in the NND. This years team, more disciplined....young but focus. They are 3 men down and beat a awesome Northampton team last night. They also sleep on Rappahannock. Those boys were awesome last year. It’s all good tho. The basketball road runs thru Lancaster in the NND and everyone knows it. First game of the season and we seen rivals in the stands checking them out.

Surry boys are pretty tough this year...two tough freshman transfers from Williamsburg. One of the freshmen is in the top 5 freshmen in the state. Beat a solid Smithfield team.

NND from top to bottom is the best 1A district in the state . There are no easy nights in that league.
