During this very slow time of the year for football, I trust that Rod will tolerate a non football related link.

A brief background. The family profiled is is the type of family of legend. Multiple generations farming the same land, pillars of the community, and generous friends to everyone they encounter.

As you will see, this family came face to face with every parents worse nightmare.

Nick lives here in Dinwiddie now. He walks with one cane and can drive himself. He continues to improve, and is currently employed in the Dinwiddie Dispatch Center.

Nick had always participated in the 911 Memorial Climb in a high rise in Richmond. Last year he went to be there just to support his fellow firefighters. They would have none of that. His fellow firefighters bodily carried him, floor by floor, to the top of the high rise.
