You can say that again! I know that all too well! You will never compete at varsity level without solid weightroom regime.

Yet you support an offense (Double Wing) that is in the same category of being predominately run oriented? Or maybe you don't care for that either, just puzzles me some of the people that do not like the Single Wing. I enjoy seeing it run correctly but I suppose I am in the minority, lol.Was at the Giles-Glenvar game.
Not a fan of that offense at all
I would disagree since you do not have a QB under center in the Single. It's like saying Spread Shotgun is the same as the Pistol. The variations within the offense are different. I agree they are in the same category but they are not the same thing.Single wing and double wing are essentially the same thing
If you look at it that way, I see your point. I happen to like the Wing T, Double Wing, and Single Wing. As the line in Remember the Titans go, "it's like Novocain, give it time".The only difference is ball handling and lead blocker (the way riverheads and Wilson runs it anyway). The blocking is the same...which in my opinion is what defines an offense
You're high if you think you could have run the spread. Of course I like when teams think they can do that and can't pass block worth a nickel. Let me say Wilsons run blocking was spot on and in no way am I implying they were not very very good. Around these parts though, you don't have a lot of time to get the ball out so unless you are running the New England paper cut offense, it's not overly effective.I hate the double wing as well.
I see why we run it now but the past 4 years with the athletes we had I think it was a crutch.

Union formed in 2011, and have ran a different offense each season according to what talent they have.I don't think you can bounce back and forth and be successful. One group running the pistol another group coming up running a version of the wing. If you consistently get those athletes like Richlands does, then run spread from the time they put pads on. If not find the O that is the least effected by graduation of skill players and train from midgets on.
And Cullen rumbled down the side line( sometimes out, lol) against us enough for me to know he had a little speed.
I have no reason to doubt that whatsoever, but I think you may be a little surprised if you see some of the Richlands' players close up. I know I was.I will compare any 2 a school in VA to Coach Smith's weight room program. I promise u that!
