Senior Tyler Morgan pitched a 3-hit shutout and the Tigers rallied for three runs in the 7th to defeat Indian River 3-0. Morgan finished with seven strikeouts and he scattered two singles; one in the 6th inning and one in the seventh inning.
The game was tied at zero heading into the seventh inning before Oscar Smith jumped on the Braves for three runs. Tristan Council was hit by a pitch and Tyler Morgan followed with a single. An error on the catcher allowed Council to score the go ahead run.
Junior Logan Perry added another run on a sacrifice fly and Jonathan Everidge finished the scoring by adding an RBI single. Jared Miklosovic scored on an error by the left fielder after reaching base via a walk. In addition to his shutout, Morgan reached base on a single and a walk. Everidge had two hits and an RBI.
Jamie Spainhour took the loss for Indian River. He gave up only two earned runs, six hits and four walks over seven innings while striking out nine batters.
